Traveling to Antarctica will be the adventure of a lifetime. This is a sailing expedition from Puerto Williams to the white continent, where we will observe marine fauna, such as penguins and whales, explore among glaciers and icebergs, and visit scientific bases and historical sites. All this aboard a ship with all the comforts of home, but at the same time feeling that we are (and we really are!) in the midst of a real adventure: the ANTARCTIC EXPERIENCE is now lived on a SAILBOAT
The Antarctic program starts in the southernmost city on the planet, Puerto Williams. This will be our meeting point before embarking on an expedition to the frozen continent: first skirting Navarino Island, then circumnavigating Cape Horn and crossing the Drake Passage, to finally reach this marvelous place where time stands still. Explore Antarctica accompanied by a great team of sailors, experienced navigators of the South Pole sea!

In their eagerness to travel and conquer milestones, humans seek unexplored and remote places; and the Antarctic Peninsula is one of the most unknown and inaccessible places on the planet. Already over a century ago, the Irish polar explorer Ernest Shackleton planned to reach the White Continent first aboard the icebreaker "Endurance" (thus the challenge became known as the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition or the Endurance Expedition) and then cross the 2,900 km from the Weddell Sea's Vahsel Bay towards the Ross Sea overland using dogs and sledges. This expedition could not be completed, as the Endurance became trapped in the ice of the Weddell Sea before reaching the landing bay. Nevertheless, it is remembered as the most epic story of survival and heroism in Antarctica and the world.
Today, technology and resources make it possible to visit Antarctica without assuming too many risks. In fact, there are many and increasingly more cruise ships that offer packages to Antarctica with a range of prices, being the most affordable options those on larger cruise ships.
Our trip to Antarctica from Chile (Puerto Williams) leaves aside the mass tourism of cruises while following the winds, imitating these great historical expeditions like Sir Ernest Shackleton’s, and giving way to truly immersing ourselves in the experience. The adventure of sailing from Puerto Williams to the Antarctic Circle and further south will leave you with indelible memories for a lifetime.
