Many people wonder where the southernmost city in the world is located and how to get there. Well, here we are to tell you all about the three ways to get to Puerto Williams, including schedules, approximate fares, and links where to book your tickets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"viewer-24tfp\"><strong>1. FLIGHTS FROM PUNTA ARENAS<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Regular flights operate from Punta Arenas to Puerto Williams on a weekly basis from Monday to Saturday. These flights usually depart in the mornings, and it takes about one and a half hours for the Twin Otter aircraft and 45 minutes for the BAE plane to travel the distance between the two cities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los pasajes en avi\u00f3n entre Punta Arenas y Puerto Williams tienen un costo aproximado de 110.000 pesos chilenos \/ 110 d\u00f3lares por tramo. TRAVEL BY FERRY TO PUERTO WILLIAMS<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also travel between Punta Arenas and Puerto Williams onboard the Yaghan ferry. This is a 30-hour navegation that connects both cities, departing from Punta Arenas on Thursdays in the afternoon and arriving in the southernmost city in the world past midnight during the night of Fridays to Saturdays. In the opposite direction (Puerto Williams \u2013 Punta Arenas), the ferry usually departs on Saturdays in the afternoon, reaching the capital of the Magallanes region during the night of Sundays to Mondays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"viewer-dq0mj\"><strong>How much does the ferry from Punta Arenas to Puerto Williams cost?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Los pasajes en Ferry tienen tarifa aproximada de 150.000 pesos chilenos \/ 150 d\u00f3lares por tramo. El valor es fijo y no cambia independientemente de la fecha o la antelaci\u00f3n con que compr\u00e9is los pasajes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-cdkad\">The journey begins by crossing the channels and Patagonian fjords that are part of the Alberto de Agostini National Park, which belongs to the Route of Parks of Patagonia. You will be able to see some glaciers during the months with more daylight hours, specifically in the direction Punta Arenas \u2013 Puerto Williams. The company that operates the Yaghan Ferry on this route is Austral Broom, and you can check ticket availability, find schedules, and make reservations on their website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tabsa.cl\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"www.tabsa.cl\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TABSA.CL.<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"viewer-adcfc\"><strong>3. CROSS THE BEAGLE CHANNEL FROM USHUAIA TO PUERTO WILLIAMS<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-6tp1j\">During the summer months (December to March), crossings from Ushuaia to Puerto Williams operate regularly from Monday to Saturday in the mornings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-6tp1j\"> Although the distance between Ushuaia and Puerto Williams is short, this international crossing takes approximately 3 hours and will look like this: The trip begins on a speedboat, departing from the city of Ushuaia (Argentina) to Puerto Navarino (Navarino Island, Chile), crossing the Beagle Channel, which takes about 30 minutes. Once in Puerto Navarino, the journey continues by bus, driving along the scenic coastal route for 55 kilometers to finally arrive in Puerto Williams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El valor de los pasajes es de aproximadamente 160.000 pesos chilenos \/ 160 d\u00f3lares por tramo. Tomar ida y vuelta supone un peque\u00f1o descuento, quedando en 280.000 pesos chilenos o 280 d\u00f3lares por el round trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NOTE: There are websites and other platforms that talk about ferryboats; however, this information is incorrect.
